This is further evident when TWC rolled out D3 speeds yet Insight, having D3 CMTS did not offer them.

Presently TWC is stating they arnt offering them now to us as the network may not be able to handle it, and they only want to offer services they can deliver (funny I know).

Presently I am trying out WOW!'s 50/5 Package to see if I notice any benefit having that speed while I wait for TWC to figure out what needs done to offer it to me. I may be canceling the internet part of TWC/Insight as soon as I verify all emails going to the old emails I have with them are heading now to my Outlook.com address. Honestly, I still haven't transitioned my email use away from my insightbb addresses, even though I already have the twc addresses setup.... Such a headache. It still disgusts me that Insight gave up and cashed out...

I am pretty sure they planned to keep the "email forwarding" from the insightbb.com domain to twc.com domain until June 2014 but not actually keep the mail accounts active until that point.

The Columbus OH system is living proof that Insight "checked out" a while ago..

They had just started to install D3 CMTS's to offer possibly higher speeds around the time they got sold... Much of the HFC Network Insight used is currently being upgraded by Time Warner so they can actually get the Columbus system in line with their service offerings at some point (hopefully sooner than later)..

Insight sadly stopped caring a long time ago.

If you haven't yet registered for your TWC Internet service, it's a quick and easy process. Simply:

Go to registration.rr.com
Accept the Time Warner Cable subscriber agreement and privacy policy.
Set up your new Time Warner Cable email address and password.

After your Registration is complete, take these optional steps to make the most of your experience at no additional cost:

Move Your Insight Emails: During Registration, you will be prompted to copy your Insight email messages and address book contacts to your TWC email address. Your Insight email and password are required to perform this step.

Create Additional TWC Email Accounts: Go to selfcare.rr.com and enter your new primary TWC email address and password to log in. From the main screen, choose "Create New Sub User" to create a new email account.

Download Free Security Software: After you have created your @twc.com email address in Registration, visit rr.com/security to download McAfee® AntiVirus software. You can also download McAfee® Family Protection parental controls software.
