Microsoft → [XPHome] Remove Permissions From External HD

I have an external WD 750GB HD that I have transferred files to from one machine. When I move it to one of the others, the HD is not seen at all.

I need to remove/disable whatever is stopping the HD from being seen on the other machines. I'm presuming that some type of permissions are being set.

All machines have Win XPHome SP3 and the drives are NTFS.

On the other PC, go to Start/Run and type diskmgmt.msc then enter.

See if that drive shows up there.

If it does then right-click and add a drive letter so it will show up on my computer.

The Automount option may not be enabled.

Edit, Permissions won't stop it from being displayed in My Computer.

Didn't work, though. Hmm...

All the other drives are interchangeable without issue. Only this one drive doesn't show up for some reason. I can see it fine on the original machine, though.

Figured it out...

Used devmgmt.msc to enable the drive.

Worked after that...!
