Is Speedstream 5200 modem compatible with "HighSpeed DSL 7" internet ?

Careful... there are two versions of what used to be Bell's SS5200, which I'm guessing the OP's modem is originally from. One is model E240 (Black & Gray ADSL1 only) and the other E242 (All Black ADSL2+) capable. The FTTN 7 is ADSL2+ based, they set sync rate of 8.5mbps in ADSL2+ mode.

Ya.. Definitely the two versions and the ADSL 1 and ADSL 2 distinction. However, ADSL 1 will sync at 8mbit, so... Even if it is an E240, there really shouldn't be any issues.

I can sync my box full of old Gnet BB0060Bs up to my variously 10-17mbit DSL line and they work very stably. Just not at full sync.
