Was at the Doctor's office today when....

a guy sitting in the waiting room asked me if my cane was my beating stick.

I said "Shit, no wonder my husband runs in the other direction when he sees me with it.".

Just something that made me laugh today.

A while back I had a fairly long piece of turned aluminum in my office (which included a threaded fitting on the end). I always thought it would make a decent staff to beat people senseless. Lighter than steel (but still pretty substantial).
