[Cable] Cable Modem Latency ... after several hours; needs a reb

Hello everyone,

My cable modem encouters severe latency after 12, 24 or 36+ hours of usage. I notice that my cable modem slows down.

My ping times to a remote site go from ~10ms to 50, 100ms+ (it fluctuates wildly).

A reboot of the cable modem fixes the issue.

Any ideas why this is happening? I've posted about this several times and there have been no solid answers

Signal levels look good, firewall working as expected, since all I need to do is reboot my modem to fix the issue... and I can ping fine on my backup WAN connection (DSL).

Very annoying...

I have a DCM476 modem.
