I am not sure what my transfer rates are between puters. Not sure how to tell! I know it doesn't take long to transer pictures from one pc to the other.

My main pc is a Dell 1.6 ghz with 256 meg of ram
My laptop is a Sony Vaio 1.1 with 512 meg of ram
Wife's Pc is HP 350 mhz with 128 meg of ram

I have a IT friend who said he would come over and help me out. Just thought I could do some on my own....

I really dont have much knowledge in the wifi area.

Also how fast are your two wifi connected computers??
I get blazing speeds on the pc that I always use (900MHZ)

I am on a Linksys wireless router and the main pc which is lan wired to the router rocks. The other 2, 1-desktop and 1-laptop both on wireless cards are sllllllllllllloooooooowwwwww.

Don't get me wrong their faster than dialups but nothing compared to main system.

Any suggestions, I have tweaked a bit but not sure of any other remedies.

When you run the test on the Mac, is any other bandwidth utilization going on with the Pentium 4, or the Mac?

I run two computers on a router. A pentium4 and a mac g3. The speeds on my pentium for surfing and downloading are great. However, the mac speeds are incredibly slow. Prior to the conversion to insightbb , I ran the same setup fine. The speeds for the pentium machine were okay and the mac was equal. So now I have a speed demon and a turtle. I was wondering if others had a similiar problem or if there was something I could try to resolve this.
