zean posted : With your wireless connections, how are your data transfers between computers. Example transfer file A from pc1 to pc2. Wireless should peek out at 11MB/s correct me if I'm wrong. If transfers are slow then there is some interference(sp) that is slowing you down. I am not one to really trust wifi for any kind of speedy or secure transfer of info.

I really dont have much knowledge in the wifi area.

Also how fast are your two wifi connected computers??
I get blazing speeds on the pc that I always use (900MHZ)
but the old stinker of a pc (200MHZ) gets info from the net at half the speed.

dadis3d posted : Even with the pentium off...the mac does not speed up any. And previously it ran fairly well before we moved onto insightbb. I thought maybe it was insight cutting on bandwith per customer..but that does not seem the case .They say they have not .I have not tried and hook it (the mac) directly to the cable modem yet..

2nd computer slowdown

dadis3d posted : Greetings,
I am an insight bb Louisville user. I run two computers on a router. A pentium4 and a mac g3. The speeds on my pentium for surfing and downloading are great. However, the mac speeds are incredibly slow. Prior to the conversion to insightbb , I ran the same setup fine. The speeds for the pentium machine were okay and the mac was equal. So now I have a speed demon and a turtle. I was wondering if others had a similiar problem or if there was something I could try to resolve this.
Thanks
