[MoP] Get to the Timeless IsleIf you haven't and need gear upgrades you really need to get to the Timeless Isle. I'm getting at least three gear upgrades per toon. I don't know if today's restarts are going to turn it down, if not I'm rolling through all 22 toons for the gear.
Since I don't raid, right now, this is a quick and easy way to upgrade my gear. I rolled through eight toons last night and plan on doing the rest today. |

Thanks, made my decision to run the shaman through there before attempting flex.
What is the ilevel out of interest? May be worth running my lock through too before it's nerfed. |

Ilev is 496.you get a battle.net account bound item that converts to a piece of gear for that toons current spec. I picked up 16 of the items last night with some duplicates. But I have multiple toons that are each hear type so they're not going to go to waste. |

496 is no use to the lock, she has all at min 502 fully upgraded. Is it all BOA though? I only really want to do the rep once but as it stands my lock has all my reps on her but I want the gear on the shaman. If I can do it all on the lock and just transfer the gear it would be awesome. |

How do the gear drops work for the BOAs? is it a gear drop or a token drop? If it is a token drop do you have to combine it with something (ala Mojo/token combos)? |

Everything I've picked up is BOA. Most of the gear you'll find is spec'd for the toon you're on, but I have picked up cloth and mail on a plate toon. Since I've run it 11 times now I know where a lot of the boxes are. After the reboot they are still there. Recommend going this week when everyone else is there to clear the trash for you. I'm getting three to five pieces of gear per toon, what I can't use I send to one who can.
The gear isn't showing up on Armory yet, but going from 471 to 496 for three to five pieces of gear in less than a half hour per toon is more than worth it. |

It is an item that you use on the toon you want it for, until you use it, it isn't anything. It is kind of like the token turn ins as it is limited to a specific class, but that is more by the class that can use it, plate goes to warriors, paladins and death knights. Cloaks and rings can go to any class. I don't know that I've seen a trinket yet. |

I agree, just move your level 90 out to Timeless Isle. It's a loot pinata! Every thing, every quest, drops a ton of Timeless Coins. Keep your eyes peeled for chests! Loot pinata chests! Also, while the BOA ilvls are 496, they can be upgraded to 535 with the Burden of Eternity (50,000 timeless coins). |

You can get a burden of eternity in a regular chest (I did on my mage) and there is a guaranteed one in the chest in Ordos' area. |

Pretty easy in the short term because there are always large groups of either faction there to down them. Just need to tag and receive. |

Where is the chest in Ordo's area? I didnt not see that one last night. What is the respawn rate of the chests? |

Nazgrel is pretty dead and there are a ton of people on the Isle. It may have to do with the realm connect thing too. |

To get to the chest in Ordos' area you cross the bridge. You do NOT go into the court though. After crossing the broken bridge, you hug the left side of the cliff and go around as far as you can. There is an opening in the wall that leads to another section of that area with mobs. All the way in the back is the chest.
If you have stealth capabilities, it's cake. I stealthed to the chest, stood at max range and opened it. The two elementals that guard it has a small agro radius, so they ignored me.
As cat said, the celestials is easy. Groups form all the time to get them, but you can just faction tag and do it that way.
The isle is cross realmed, so there is a metric crapton of people there, and the chests respwan after a second or two. |

I'm rolling through my Alliance set now. I think I've got the locations of at least a dozen chests down.
I have gotten a trinket also. I haven't seen a necklace yet. |

To get across the bridge, you can use the gleaming crane at the beginning of the bridge entrance to launch you up in the air. You then float down to the grassy area to the left of the bridge on the opposite side. Or, you can climb the pillar on the left and mage slow fall or engi glider across. |

The "token" is account wide. After you use it the result is BOP. So, you can mail the tokens to your toons, but as soon as you use it the item is soulbound. I've rolled through all 22 of my toons now and have to sort out the excess gear. I think that qualitybobby hit one of the possible issues you might get, a trinket or ring will probably give you the same item, though I have seen different stats on the armor for the same toon. |

I ventured onto the Isle last night and in all honesty can't see a great reason to do it. I had 5 bits of gear drop, typically none suitable for the few 476 pieces I have left to replace and killing the mobs as ele is nowhere near as efficient as on the warlock. For the sake of the odd bit of gear, I'm going to hold off on the shammy.
I don't know if it was the same for everyone else but the usual post patch idiots were out in force. Everyone crowding around the vendors and the quest givers, a few flagged for PVP just waiting for the misclick. Likewise there were so many people about it was hard to explore as I'd like. Might have to hold up for a bit. |

The main focus should be on quests, as they are incredibly easy, and hunting down chests. You will gear yourself up and all of alts in ilvl 496 gear in no time! Plus there is a cave NorthEast of Moss green lake that is filled with locked treasure chests and a guy that sells keys for 500 coins. I decided to roll the dice and bought a key and the chest I chose had a BoE in it. Reading some of the comments on wowhead, people are saying this is the best chance for getting the BoE from the "luck" options (chests/mobs). Obviously the 100% drop rate out of the Ordos chest and the quest that gives you one are guaranteed NOTE: When you upgrade to the 535 gear, you must upgrade the unused token. If you use the token to make the 496 gear, it can't be upgraded. Many people found this out to their frustration. |
