Well I am aware of wiretapping (I guess everyone knows it these days), but they are powerful and doing it with "court orders"! But as individual citizen you cannot record the phone conversation unless you have the consent of the other party.

What court orders they don't need no stinkin court orders they do this as a matter of course Yeah I know I'm splittin hairs, but whaddafuq, eh. Though the double standard these days is like just nutso.

Tell that to TekSavvy who clearly say on their phone line that this call may be recorded for training purposes. I don't ever remember them asking me if I consent to them doing that.

Good point. TS tells you ahead of the time that they are recording (in fact all companies that record the voice conversation do the same thing), they are not doing it without your knowledge.
