[IE] Internet Explorer is handling JavaScript slower

Is it possible to tweak IE 8 to handle javascript faster or is this by design?
Other browsers such as Chrome and Firefox handles javascript much more faster.
The reason I ask because some sites depends heavily on the use of JavaScript/AJAX.
And what about IE 10? Does it handle javascript faster than IE 8?

Are you having any actual problems, or are you just playing with technology demo sites?

if the highest version of IE you can run is 8 as you're running xp there isn't much you can do. Vista can get IE 9. Win 7 can get IE 9, IE 10, and will be getting IE 11 in the future sometime after Win 8.1(service pack to Win 8) has been out.

IE 9 should be the first version to use gpu(graphics processing unit) hardware acceleration to speed up the processing of pages, and javascript. IE 10 does the same with more functionality, and the upcoming IE 11 starts supporting webgl, another web technology mostly used for demos that is also supported by Firefox and Chrome.

I won't tell you which one to use, but if you are stuck on xp with IE 8 you might use Firefox or Chrome instead if they don't work in IE.

Well the question here is: WHAT FILES CONTROL JAVASCRIPT??

I wonder if you can use the IE10 javascript engine with IE8 or lower?? (Would be worth experimenting and seeing if it works)
