if you can get into the SoO LFR the second boss drops ranged weapon for you... use your coins specifically on this fight, in about 3 weeks i've gotten my hunter up to ilvl 522. my pally is now 545 in my tank spec and 537 in ret. Flex has definitely given both of these toons a great (quick given rng) way to gear up. Also, getting the cloak and double shot, with another coin, at warforged from ordos helps.

its more about time management than anything else. Few things I try to do throughout the week: Do as many flex as I can, that is to say flex 1, 2, and maybe a 3. The 540 gear in there has a pretty good chance of dropping at least for someone in the raid, and with 13 people being the norm, its good chances it will be you. Use a coin only on bosses that have a clear upgrade for you. Do the celestials, burn a coin. If you can do an Ordos kill, burn a coin. This I think will get you geared pretty quick. At least from an ilvl perspective.
How do I manage all of this and still have time to work on two toons, farm up tmog gear for my alts and sit in SW attention whoring my old content gear? Oqueue. I find the groups i need when i need them, or I start my own group. With it I can quickly fill a spot for flex if I need to, I can get myself into a flex that i need, I can even find groups doing old content for my Tmog addiction. Oqueue has opened up my options when it come to finding people that want to do what I want to do, when I want to do it. It's like /2 without the trolls.
