WARNING:If you get PACBELLyou better NEVER plan to CAncel, below is what is happening to me!
I was never live. 30 days into the order. Caled into PACBELL, they said they can't find my order. Major run around between EPC and PACBELL ASI for 3 days. In the end to summarize, noone can tell me what happened to my order or why it was apparently canceled. FOr a billion dollar corporation, that is pathetic. They are the worst run company I have ever seen.
The worst part is about 1 month later I got a bill for 300 dollars for DSL service. I called in was promised it would get taken care off and a credit will be issued. Now its 3 months later, my bill is up to 677 dollars becasue they are billing me 99 dollars every month for a mpodem kit. Now if that is not sheer stupidity and incompetence, I don't know waht is. I swear i I goto the street and find mentally challenged homeless guy, he will probbaly do better then the morons at PACBELL.
Don't get these guys even if they PAY YOU! And if you have no problems with them, you better hope you will NEVER have to cancel. Because you will never stop getting billed! I have contacted consumer affairs and will file a legal brief with a small claims court for my time lost in wages dealing with this issue. DON'T EVEN GET CLOSE TO THIS PILE OF CRAP!

So, let me get this straight.... What you're saying is that you're dis-satisfied with PacBell, right? -- That which does not kill you makes you stronger. |

More effective than words would be to scan the four months' bills and publish them, showing the four "one time" $99 modem charges. -- TeleCommunications Installation and Maintenance since 1966 |

I've been billed for the service since May 2000...and they've never managed to get it installed. And just to get my goat, a telemarketer called the other day to invite me to subscribe. This company needs to get its act together. |

I had some problems like that also, they did not cancel my order, they lost it. I had been trying to get DSL for 6 months, even when they came and did a "cold install" it was connected at frames for another 2 months. Sitting there looking at a DSL box with no sync almost drove me mad. Pacbell charged me for those 2 months that i had no sync. I called a rep at pacbelland talked to the head guy, he gave me a refund of my 2 months and added 2 more free for my trouble. Sometime you get a good one. |
