I suspect that the bottleneck was more likely the old router's hardware itself more than the wireless link speed. I doubt even connecting wired would have had much impact. I don't know what you had before, but lot of early 802.11n routers topped out around 30MB throughput. That said, either way, you're WAY faster now, and that's the bottom line. I also am a big fan of ASUS routers, so good choice there. I have an RT-N66U myself and love it.
