Backing up Origin Installs? is it PossibleHi All
If someday I get a bigger hard drive for my System or have to do a Windows 8.1 Refresh, wondering if there is a way to backup Origin installs? with at&t dsl caps don't have much data room to download a ton of stuff anymore. Might get a bigger hard drive either at Christmas or birthday in a few months.
Gonna look for a Seagate 2TB drive, Serial ata III, 7200 RPM.
(I don't think imaging over to newer drive would work as I switched Antiviruses way too much, which I shouldn't done) plus current drive is Hitachi, so don't think Seagates imager would work right, plus only room inside for 1 drive
So wondering how i'd backup the game installs, and save bandwidth if possible
(I can do a Refresh of 8.1 or reset of 8.1 before I get new drive, then image it then) |

Yeah, it's easy.
Go to Program Files/Origin and back up all the game folders. Then, on the new drive, instal Origin and start the download of all the games you had installed. Then close Origin, go to the game folder and move all your backup in there, re-open Origin and give it a few minutes. It should be ready to go after that. |

You really don't have to do much by default. You just need your login information so whenever you reinstall Origin your games library returns. Then you just pick and choose which games to install again and the cloud saves will pick you right back up where you left off with your game saves. |
