After devoting an entire day to "honey do" crap, I was able to put together a troubleshooting process that pointed toward a second faulty thermostat. Who would guess that you would run into two bad ones in a row? Bought a cheapo Hornywell and all is well. Bottom line involved the led going off a few minutes after a heat cycle. No fault code. Just gone. Immediately turning the thermostat off after a heat cycle allowed the led to stay on but, allowing the thermostat to remain in the heat mode caused the led to go out after about 5 minutes post cycle. Remove thermostst. Insert new one (again). Am I correct in thinking a possible "anticipator" gremlin was cavorting about? Thanks to all for your help. |
