Obviously, 2 wheels are 1 too much over the absolute minimum required, so I guess it was only a matter of time that someone took the Segway a step further.

That looks like something from a sci-fi show or movie. Pretty cool.

Be interesting to see, or put in one of the collision avoidance systems that is shipping in the more expensive cars. The system that detects objects blocking the road and it starts slowing down the car/stopping it.

There are actually several different one uni/mono cycles, one only in a cartoon, but all the others have/had working prototypes.

There's Dr. Blowhole's ballsy Segway from the Penguins of Madagascar (2008), Embrio from Bombardier, the Uno (kinda stretching the one wheel concept), plus various incarnations of the Monowheel .

Since I barely even see Segways, I have my doubts about the widespread use of one wheeled vehicles, at least until they can be made truly idiot proof.

Also the cost needs to come down.
