Since you show the IP address 199.27.73.194 listed in one of your nslookup results, I don't need the ping results since I have already done that and I know that it fails (but you can certainly do it yourself to verify that you see what I see).

What you are seeing is that your site is using multiple IP addresses for load balancing, and if you happen to get a dead server IP address, then that connection attempt will fail. There are ways to use multiple IP addresses for both load balancing and failover protection, but I suspect that your site is just using simple round-robin load balancing, and if one of their servers does not respond, then that is just too bad. You may want to contact the admin for that site and let them know that at least one of their load balanced servers is not responding so that they might at least remove it from their round-robin DNS sequence until the server problem is fixed.

Wikia is a pretty large site, you think there's an easy way to contact the admin, I can't really access the page most of the time, can you shoot them an email for me?

However, on the actual web site, they show this message "If you prefer to use regular e-mail or have attachments, you can contact us at community@wikia.com" as an alternative to using their contact form. And FWIW, I doubt that they would pay any attention to an email from a non-member such as myself.
