[T-Mobile] Stand-alone gizmo to get Wifi for T-mobile smartphone ?

Just got my first ever smartphone (LG G2) with the T-mobile post paid Simple Choice. Very happy with both.

My home PC connection is wired and I have NO desire for wireless for that. But -- is there some "gizmo" (my techie word, lol) so I can get WiFi on my T-mobile phone?

Obviously, I know diddly-doo. Again, I just want WiFi for the phone. Thanks muchly.

Isn't wi-fi [calling] a built-in feature of the phone? re: »support.t-mobile.com/doc ··· DOC-7584

Or do you mean tethering?

Errrm, all I know is that I do NOT have my own WiFi for my PC (use corded cable modem). When I've found that "connect to a WiFi network" on the phone, they appear to be someone else's networks. Also, I have no idea of the password to use.

So how may I get a device or something so I can have WiFi on my phone. Thanks and sorry about my lack of tech savvy.

So you have a single PC that you plug directly into a cable modem? Well, if so, then you just need a wireless home router--plug the router into the cable modem and the PC into the router (it also supports wired connections) and use the wireless access for the phone. (This is the typical setup most people have.)

Here are two examples of what anonomeX is talking about. One is an example of what your home wireless/wired network would look like. The second is my current home wireless/wired network...

Not to go off-topic, but what did you use to create those great graphics?
