[RI] Slow speed and packet loss to first hop - WW01/WW02Noticed slow performance on Preferred Tier (32Mb/5Mbps +-) so started doing some test. Bypassed router, connect PC direct to modem. I notice my upstream signal strength is a bit higher. Usually 39-40dB. Tried multiple test sites, including Cox's own. Reboot modem via reset button and battery/power removal. Also I called Cox and they said possible issues in area but nothing declared. If I had to guess I would say ingress on the upstream. They rebooted modem too, no change. Coaxial is connected direct to drop via a coupler. Can anyone throw me into Pathtrack? MAC address available on request.

Symptoms have decreased in last 10min or so, with no change on my end and no reboot. Looks like my first hop has changed, and now the packet loss is gone. Thank you to/if anyone that helped. |

Curious how do you have a 20Mbps upload on a connection rated for 25Mbps/5Mbps ??? |

Speedboost? Inaccuracy of test? I honestly forget what my upload is officially. But I usually get 5-8Mbps throughput on upload. |

I don't believe that Powerboost affects upstream it only bursts the speed on the downstream.. Huh probably some anomaly |

That's cool! Although tbh I'd rather have it be that consistently and not just bursted whenever conditions allow for it |

Looks like issue is back. There have been upstream ingress on my node for years. Im not even going to bother calling since Im canceling Cox here in about a week anyway.

Looks to be intermittent. By the time I called Cox to check for outage the packet loss was gone. Another words, this will probably never be fixed. FYI for anyone in the West Warwick area. Sucks to be us. |
