[TV] FOX Sports 2 (and others) now available on preferred?A few people told me that they now have FOX Sports 2. I checked my cable box, and there it is, albeit in shrunken SD (though the TWCTV service has it in HD online...). CBS Sports is also available for me. These were previously available only as extras.
Also, MAVTV on my cable box used to say that I had to pay for the sports package (as the two mentioned above did). Now, it just says to call to get the channel. I called, and was told that MAVTV isn't offered in any package anymore. I'm not sure if that's correct, but it's somewhat disappointing. |

Yes, as of July 1 Sports Pass is no longer required for Fox Sports 2, and yes very few areas have it in HD, even though it is HD with the streaming service. CBS Sports Network has also been removed from and added to Sports Pass from time to time. Same goes for FXM, it goes from Variety to Movies Pass and back again. In the areas that have Mav TV, I'm not sure if it was part of Sports Pass or not, I thought it was part of the HD Pass, but I might be mistaken. |

It was listed on TW's Legal Notifications for June and the first notification in July, it looks like that line has been removed for the July 16th updates. |

The Legal Notices will only list upcoming changes and on a rare occasion a past change or two. CBS Sports Network changed packages months ago, so it won't be listed, the previous rendition had FS2 going from Sports Pass to Variety on July 1st. Without spending lot of time looking it up, this was published in a newspaper from Columbus, OH. Most of these changes now happen nationally, if you want something from your specific area, look in the archives of a local newspaper and you should see something similar, but there is no question about it, FS2 moved out of the Sports Pass 22 days ago quote:
