No argument there. But ... do you deny that people were told that no channels would be viewable without a DA after a certain date?

Jeff I told you I am not biting this...I meant it. If you wish to talk about it by all means hit me up. The conversion is not complete yet and there are a very very few channels that must remain where they are for a short period of time however they too will be gone eventually especially when things go encrypted. On that note you know where to find me....have a great evening.

Agree, I thought we were losing all channels too. However, that's apparently not the case since local channels will be available on QAM.

Well, judging from the past post you reference, it would depend upon what the definition of a "couple" channels are.

The official notice we've received from BHN calls out sixteen (16). So, a subscriber having basic cable should be able to avoid renting more stuff from BHN if they are satisfied with the aforementioned sixteen channels.

And I would wager that if enough people did that, those channels would be eventually be encrypted also. But I could be wrong. It is only my opinion, based upon past experience

Hence my attempt to be very specific with OTA locals being available... Its an art to ask the question exactly the right way
