Re: Sprint needs to uncarrierOK I just ran some numbers and the 12 GB and 16 GB plans should not even exist as the 20 GB plan is always cheaper. The 8GB plan is only cheaper for 2 lines, after that it's always better to be on the 20GB plan. See this spreadsheet I created for some analysis » docs.google.com/spreadsh ··· =sharing |

Nice. I'm sure they'll want to put that at the counter to help customers out. |

I am not trying to defend it, but if you get subsidized phones, it isn't cheaper with the 20GB plan. The subsidy, however, may or may not be better depending on the phone. It at least is better than on ATT, where the $70 plan is the $50 plan with 2GB of overage (never ever would make sense to sign up for it). |

After tweaking this spreadsheet for a bit, it is simply this: They took AT&T's exact price structure and then doubled the data. |

Twice the data with half the coverage. What's not to like? |

Maybe for your specific area. Generalize much? |

Good eye. This spreadsheet is fascinating.
Or in Sprint's case, maybe it would be "Frascinating." |

Sprint's abysmal LTE progress in DC is well documented. I'm also referring to my experience with a Sprint iPhone 5s on the outdoor Amtrak platform at Newark Airport where it was only picking up 3G and my experience outdoors on the boardwalk at Long Beach, NY where it was picking up 1x and nothing else. I could also tell you about the number of times on I-95 where the phone dropped coverage entirely or dropped to 3G.
Should I keep going? It's becoming less general. |

There are 3 other carriers, you can switch to the one that suit your needs. I was with sprint until April 2012,and switched to Verizon, so I don't have to whine about it. |
