Re: [rCable] Wireless IssueThe OP should seriously consider a dual band router from ASUS. RT-N66U would be the low end bottom minimum choice and work up from there to a beefier AC based unit. With 3 to 6 other people sharing just ask everyone to chip in and grab one. Check Staples..have some ASUS routers on sale right now. |

Funny, because Newegg and sites are full of bad experiences with this R7000, not to mention the warranty is only 1 year vs 2 year with ASUS.
ASUS is the way to go right now..not Netgear... |

LoL. if you were comparing RT-AC68U vs R7000 (then, maybe ... we could discuss it), comparing RT-N66U vs R7000 (ur just wasting ur and my time (as well, providing a false informations to this community)) (but, its normal from you, anyway) |

I found the R7000 is poorly set up for IP6. Once you guys figured out my problem with the Asus RT-AC68U (disable DNS), I have had no issues and the unit is rock solid. Don't get me wrong. I am also a supporter of Netgear. What I don't like is their routers are poorly set up for IP6 |

I have ipv6 working on my R7000 (dd-wrt) + it works on Tomato firmware as well. |

try it on stock software. Not everybody is going to download dd-wrt and tomato. I'm quite happy with stock. Also, the average user will have no idea how to install and use dd-wrt |

I've had no problems with the RT-AC66u performance wise, and the A68u simply just has a slightly faster CPU and wireless enhancements that are pretty much non-existent since no wireless adapter exists to make use of them.
Getting the top model from Linksys/ASUS/Netgear really just comes down to preference. |

I understand your point, just saying, its possible. (ipv6 - 6rd) |
