Surprisingly, Rogers already has a "skinny basic" service (Digital Lite TV), but it is not promoted and does not appear anywhere on their website.
Digital Lite TV includes all the major Canadian networks (CTV, CTV-2, CBC, Global, CBC-French, CITY, TVO (Ontario) and the US Networks (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, PBS) along with about a dozen other channels for $14.99 per month.
I have had the
Digital Lite TV for almost a year and find that it more than meets my TV viewing interests, but perhaps only because I don't watch any sports.
