Not just Saturday morningYoungest of 4 kids born in 1971(NJ, but NYC stations). Would get up before everyone, because then I can determine what was put on the tube...was a dictatorship and I was low man....
m.u.s.h, groovey ghoulies, return to the planet of the apes, tarzan, superfriends, bigfoot and wild boy, wonderoma, jason and star command, shazzam, I could go on and on...
But not just saturdays, sunday would wait for abbott and costello, then hoping for a scifi movie from 50's or 60's,
sunday night(for us that was 7pm) disney movie, bionic man, Star Trek......
during the week, after schools specials, monster week...
being sick and off from school during the week, all star blazers, G-Force, captain kangaroo...
We lived for the TV, but funny thing is, as much TV as we watched it was only early morning or at night, other than that we were out doing stuff, sports, building tree forts, swimming, biking....
Miss those days and feel bad for the kids(and mine) now a days...
