How did yahoo mail ads come back in PM?

I've been using yahoo web mail with PM with ad blocking extension, etc. and have enjoyed ad free email inbox. Recently I'm guess yahoo figured out how to circumvent these ad-blocking extensions or something has changed in my set up that I'm unaware of.

Any ideas on how to filter out those inbox ads? Anyone else experience similar issue?

OMG that's awesome. I didn't really have a problem with the side ads because ABP seemed to take care of those, BUT this add-on gives me the real estate back on my screen and now my inbox is 30% bigger . And of course no inbox email ads either. Wow, this is sweet. Thank you.

Yahoo Mail Hide Ad Panel

Thanks for that. Nice.
(Works in SeaMonkey too with the addition of a SeaMonkey section in install.rdf. And also handles the "semi-Classic" version of Yahoo's webmail that I use.)

I tried it with the current 'Basic' (semi-classic) Yahoo WebMail, and it worked very well, but soon afterwards, my FireFox 24.8.1 ESR crashed, so I removed it.

The crash may have been for other reasons, therefive I will try it again soon.

Good to hear that SeaMonkey likes this add-on, as I am teetering on switching there for main browser, depending upon how the current kerfuffle between FF & PM plays out, and also because I am gradually finding enough extensions which do what I want/need/already-enjoy, but instead on SeaMonkey (and/or ones which can be converted to do so).

AbP/EasyList, NS, RP, Ghostery=Zero yaHOO! Adds

I don't regularly use hoo-mail, but in some quick tests, I do not see any ads (W7P: PM 24x- Older version of hoo-mail; PM 25.0.2/AbP 2.6.4-pm - Looks like a new hoo-mail version). In all cases, the Left column and Top-of-the-Inbox ads are are being blocked by AbP's EasyList. I do not see any ads on the right side, but if I did, AbP's Element Hiding Helper might just clean up that scrud, though it might not expand the inbox area. RIP could also be tried.

* NS and RP both are set to block the attempted calls to ScorecardResearch. Ghostery doesn't report this tracker, but might if allowed in NS and/or RP.

Pentangle 's »addons.mozilla.org/en-US ··· adpanel/ find looks interesting.

Re: AbP/EasyList, NS, RP, Ghostery=Zero Adds

NoScript, Ghostery, old basic email, private browsing. Tab Permissions. Can turn off images on the fly, so all I see is tag for image if I see anything. Also close Yahoo when finished. PM set up to delete everything on exit including LSOs. Also revoke any temporary permissions. I just start with the minimum to view anything. Also anything that wants to run like a video, has to ask.

Have Adblock plus, don't know if it works. The icon is in the corner of the browser.
