why not?Ok, since SBC is all of the bells now.. and al of the bells are offering 1.5 megs download except ameritech, why is that? I mean don't get me wrong, I have had no problems since I fixed them myself and speeds are great but why cant they up our speed to 1.5 megs a second.. everysingle ISP out there is offering it for 50.00 a month... they want 60.00 for 1.5/256 which is nice but think your paying for mostly upload since upload costs more.. but does anyone think theyll up our speed for us.. or will they up the price on us to 60.00 when contract dies liek they did with that other package? |

My guess that since Ameritech was already different and already had a 1.5/256 plan, SBC is test marketing this plan to the Ameritech region. I decided I could afford the extra $120 per year an upgraded even though I get little benefit from the higher upload speed. If you want to run a reasonable server, the extra $10 per month is a bargain for double the speed.
The bottom line is you have more realistic choices (I never even considered the $180 per month 1.5 business plan) |
