[Phone] Question about TWC Home Phone fees

I might cancel my DISH tv service and switch to TWC triple play package. It have Ultimate 100 with free WIFI, Preferred TV with free HD box, EPIX and Home Phone National for $89.. Plus a DTA

I was wondering if there is any fee for Digital Phone service? Like E911 fee or something like that or those fees is built in phone plan? We do not need Digital Phone since we have no use for it. Heck, I will tell the installer not to install the telephony modem! (We are Hard of hearing/Deaf) Thanks!

(And yes, Im aware of TV surcharge fees for Preferred TV service)

In California you'll have the following

Federal Excise Tax
Federal Universal Service Fund Surcharge
Federal Regulatory Recovery Fee
FCC Regulatory Fee
Federal Subscriber Line Charge
California Advanced Service Fund (CASF)
California Relay Service and Communications Device Fund Surcharge (CRSCDF)
California Teleconnect Fund (CTF) Surcharge
E911 Surcharge
High Cost Fund-A Surcharge (CHCF-A)
High Cost Fund-B Surcharge (CHCF-B)
Local Utility Users Tax
Regulatory Recovery Fee (State)
Universal Lifeline Telephone Service Program Surcharge (ULTS)

Total its about $5-$6 per line.

One reason I dropped TWC phone and went with a Obihai internet adapter that gives me two phone lines using Google Voice with no monthly charge.

Hmm, so maybe it is not worth it to get Triple Play package.. Would be happier with Double Play(TV and Internet) but none of promotions include a free HD Box. Maybe I could try to convince TWC to waive a box fee? LOL anyway Thank you so much! Your kudo is on the way

Another reason why I gave up paying monthly fees for "DVR service" and "DVR rental" for the lousy Motorola box and went with a TiVo Premier and a cablecard.

Yeah, but my parent rather to have a HD setbox than a "custom DVR". I used to have Ceton Infinitv 4 setup with TA. That setup work OKAY. Channels is too slow to change and I dont have the time to figure it out why. Then TWC offered us free old SD box (Motorola DCT2224) and my dad is happier with that than my custom DVR haha

Called Oceanic TWC about the triple package with phone for $89 as it had 30/5mbps & was only few $ over my double package with 15/1. I didn't want the phone at all but it was better internet-

called to order & was advised not to do this as in a yr when this promo was over for me, if i called to drop phone, TWC would consider this a service downgrade & many of the package rates would not apply with downgrade in service. Advised i would be paying much higher rate in a yr if i did this. She said if i planned to drop the phone in year let her look up current promos & see what she could do. Even though i had just revised my double play package a few months earlier to take advantage of current promos, i was offered 30/5 internet (up from current 15/1), free epics, lower DVR & premium channel rates- got better internet/cable svc with lower rate.
