That actually sounds like a great idea and I appreciate the invite. I play alliance as it is and the only got back on Hydraxis because I had toons there.

I've really only be interested in playing 2 classes, Priest and Warlock. Does either server need a healer? I use the Warlock to farm because my group DPS sucks and I like the stress of healing...for some reason.

Are we able to send mail to our other characters on different servers yet? I thought you could send the BoA gear. If not, I might need some bags to get me started, if that's alright.

You can send some things to other server characters, BOA items, no gold, gear or bags. But, since pets are account wide you can get them to other toons easily. Not may sell for top money, but it can be a help.

Ok, that's what I figured. I only have like 2, maybe 3, BoA gear. No real gold to speak of, just under 300g as of this morning. So if I can get my hands on a few 20 slot bags, I should be good to go.

We could use both a lock and a priest over here. We have 2 raiding groups going, one of them just starting, and always have friendly people around to help out when needed.

Add Jobbie#1227 and I can send you and invite when you get on.

Whisperwind or Dentag? Or does that not matter? It will be nice to play with "normal" people. By "normal" I mean people that understand other things can take priority over WoW. I've been lurking here for a bit and you folks seem like you'd be fun to game with.

The guild servers both servers since they are linked, I personally am on Whisperwind.

They are "connected realms". It's another change since you have been away. Blizzard has "connected" servers. In most cases it is just connecting one server with another (like Whisperwind and Dentarg), but in other cases you can have multiple servers connected to one another.

What all this means is that you can create a character on either Whisperwind or Dentarg and see no differences; it is all just "one server" now. Trade chat is shared, guilds are shared, AHs are shared, etc. The only difference you will see is that people will have a "-servername" after their name.

So ultimately it makes no difference whether you choose Whisperwind or Dentarg to create your character. Choose whichever one still has the toon name available that you'd like.

That explains a lot. My server must be joined with 2 or more other servers. There were a lot of people with (*) on their names and trade chat was full of really long names.

Yup that's it. I don't know if there are any servers left that aren't connected with at least one additional anymore. It was something they started to do about a year and a half ago.

I highly recommend you make a character and join absolution! They are a really great group of guys. Easy going and laid back, but also really competent and skilled if you decide to pursue end-game raiding. Either way you can't go wrong.
Like Jobbie said, this game is 10x better when played with friends and it's so so true.

P.s. Be sure to hit up Immer for your complimentary 10k gold when joining! It's customary for him to gift new players with some seed money to get the ball rolling

I created a Priest on Whisperwind last night and leveled to 21 or 22. Jobbie added me to his friends list but I don't think he logged into WoW. I'll post in the trade chat this evening looking for an invite if he doesn't get on.
As for the gold, I think I am ok, made almost 250g last evening. Bought 4 16 slot bags and up to the 10g bank slot.
