I think they have to store text message for a set period of time. You would have to contact Verizon and request a print out. |

Is that possible? You would need a court order. Doesn't matter if its your phone lines, etc |

Thanks for the replys.
I think I will just go to Verizon store and ask.
Just trying to keep a watchful on on my kid.
Thank You |

They're not gonna help you. All you can "keep watch" on is incoming and outgoing calls. Or get a court order, like a law abiding person would. |

Thank You Not trying to be rude but if you don't result your kid don't give them a device that texts. There is feature called Family Base. It's $5 a month. You can't see what is being texted but you can see who and when they are calling. You can also block texting altogether or at certain times or just from certain people. But as has been mention Verizon or any carrier will not give you transcripts of what was texted. |

If you both have iPhones and ios 8.1.2, then you can have all of her texts forwarded to your phone without her knowing. (as long as you don't reply to them). It's a new feature in the latest ios release, I use it between my work phone and my personal phone. You have to go into the phone you want to forward from to set it up and a code will pop up on the other phone and you have to enter it to accept it. From then on it will forward all texts sent and received from her phone to yours, but she will see them on her phone without any knowledge they are being forwarded, unless she is savy enough to go looking for it in the settings. It doesn't matter if the texts coming in are from a non-iPhone device or not, as long as both of your phones are iPhones. You can even forward them to an iPad. |

You CLEARLY state you have to go into the daughters phone so yeah she is going to kind of know what's going on. Anyway either a kid is old enough to use a phone or not. At some point they will be 18 and be able to do what they want. If you baby kid until their 18th birthday they will not be able to handle the world you send them out in. |

Go into settings, then "messages" and it's the 2nd line down, "text message forwarding". I think you have to have iMessage turned on first. |

To enable "Text Message Forwarding", both (all) devices must be signed into the same iCloud account. You set the SMS Message Forwarding from your iPhone. Is the other phone signed into a different iCloud account?
1. Go to Settings > Messages 2. Tap Text Message Forwarding 3. Turn on forwarding for the computers/tablets that you want to use 4. Each computer/ tablet will get a popup with a 6 digit code 5. Enter that code to activate the Text Message Forwarding on that computer/tablet |

You probably cannot get the actual text messages from Verizon for reasons mentioned above. You can find apps, like those used to "spy" on a spouse, that will keep track of text messages and other things. There are a variety of apps out there to either backup the phone (and its text messages) or to record the text messages and other social media posts. There is a large issue here of trust. Once you go down this road of monitoring someone else's phone/communications, if the other person finds out you will have a bigger issue on your hands than the communications they are having with their friends/boyfriends/girlfriends. You may irrevocably push away your child when they find out that your monitoring something they consider their personal and private communications. |
