Also to consider : What are the respective usage caps of each plan, including what you have now ?

300GB across the board

So THAT's a non-issue.

Is the overage charge and limit the same too among all 3 plans ?

.50 per GB to a max of $50

Having worked for both Bell and Cogeco, I enjoy the VDSL platform better from a technology standpoint. However, its the savings that im worried about for the next little while. :\

And you have the good fortune of HAVING a choice at your location.

So, what remains would be these factors :

Weigh the $5 more per month on 25/10 VDSL against the $50 fee to install a new Cable account thru START.

It would take you 10 months to pay the $50 thru the higher monthly DSL price, or $50 up front thru the Cable install.

After that 10 months, the Cable begins to SAVE you money.

But if you return to VDSL later, there would be another install fee.

Will you need to save money overall for longer than 10 months before affording to return to a faster speed in general ?

If you stay on VDSL, would your not waiting for and not coordinating an overlap for a Cable install (extra cost to overlap ?) be important too ?

A VDSL speed change could be done quickly and painlessly with no oversight from you, and with no $50 bump in your budget.

So the 10/2 profile gets 300GB as well?

No, only the plan which he is on now, and the 2 other plans to which which he is considering switching.

Gotta begin a few posts earlier to see what we were discussing.

The 10/2 plan has no changes at all, this time around, so still 100GB.

Hey Coax Guy something to maybe weigh in on When you want your 50/10 Back i imagine There will be a fee from 25/10 to 50/10? if so Then Perhaps the cable is no different except the fee is now.
