Re: Speed slowdown in Loudoun County VA

Was OK this morning, got 75/75 like it's supposed to be. Tonight right now at 7:15pm it's back to 6/91.

Not cool Verizon, not cool.

Just as an edit - I'm on GPON 75/75 and have these issues nightly.

seems like new york speed is fine for me but other areas that are affected are ultimately causing packet loss for me in games because of it.

Washington and Virginia latency goes from 10ms by day, 60-90ms by night.

i'm in new york and my latency to California is the same as my latency to Virginia and Washington at night, something is beyond congested in those areas.

I've been reading through all the posts on this board and I'm pretty sure I already know the answer but figured I'd ask in case I'm wrong --

Basically there is nothing that I can personally do or fix to avoid these issues right? If I'm on GPON and other ppl are having issues when trying to pass electrons through the bubble of VA/DC then it's clearly an issue higher up the chain than any hardware at my house or even shortly up the Verizon chain?

unfortunately 1000's are experiencing these issues, verizon phone support is labeling most cases as "slow speed" which is why it's kinda tough to narrow down this issue particularly, all i know is tech support is useless and this is 100% verizon's fault with their peering/congestion issues within their network

these posts are from people today.

in some cases you can get around these issues to specific areas if you use a VPN.
