Re: [TV] Start-Over for MSNBC disabled in NYC

That means we will ask them at dinner or use social media, depending upon my plans.

Oversimplification for the layman -

You get home, turn on the TV at 9:15 (easy day at work) and you can't get the breaking news from MSNBC, so you devolve to CNN or FOX...

This is not not a hard problem...

Most use DVRs for that sort of thing since the vast majority of channels aren't Start-Over enabled.

I forget which channels have it since it's so few so I don't use. Checking now I see CNN does have it but MSNBC does not, out here on the west coast.

'Most' doesn't register demographically. We know exactly what our cable-connected targets are doing and why... (we pay good money for this)

Don't base your use cases on your personal experiences alone... It's all out there...

I repeat, its about equal access to news, and when we fall short, we remediate.

So people using providers that don't have Start Over have less access to news?

Your'e a very bright guy and have helped a ton of people over the years, and I respect/admire you for that.

But, contextually, we in NYC (and in broader markets) have had equal access to all three major media news outlets... and then that changed. Now, you may consider that minutia, but most in the industry consider that "putting a finger on the scale"

I don't think there is any "Start Over Neutrality" so have fun!

Man, if you get your breaking news from any cable news channel, seek help.
