Ha. Regarding leaching, I thought to myself, fine. They can use that excuse, although nobody has my password, and I doubt anyone in my area would have the patience to crack WPA2. However, in the last few days, I had turned wifi off completely. Since that did nothing to skew my consumption, I just turned it back on.

EDIT: Oh, you said modem wifi. My modem has no WiFi.

If you try to order blocs on the website, type in your mac address does it work or it does not match ?

Just to explain this further, it has happened, in very few cases, where the initial match of account to MAC wasn't done properly so the account was receiving statistics from another users modem.

The mac address matches fine. I'm going to change my IP since I think I've been handed a bad IP at some point. Either that, or it's become targeted.

There is absolutely no reason for my consumption to reach 8 gigs on a day when I'm not home, and the only thing connected to the modem is a router with no active ethernet connections or no WiFi enabled.
