Well, as stated before, the ATT tv ads depicting a bursting blue fire hydrant filling your set with a metaphorical torrent of bandwidth were, in our opinion completely false advertising. Compounded by the ineptness of the company to follow through on any problem solving and you have probably found in ATT, a good stock to short. Having read another comment about the people not knowing what they're doing sounds familiar. We've been complaining about slow downloads (try 43k,54k, maybe we blaze along at 70k every once in a while) and the company has been unable to solve the problem. They sent techs, when clearly it is a line issue. Then promised twice to sent a line tech and both times we were no shows. Then to add insult to injury, ATT has a Customer Complaints division in Englewood, CO with no phone number and no name of any individual to whom you can address your problems. Just a PO box. A tele-communications giant with no available number for the public. Oh, and the worst, (well, in fairness they all suck) voice greeting nightmare merry-go-round imaginable at any of their numbers. The worst one is the Stepford wife voice that says "you can talk to me naturally". Don't tempt me....
All of it is ATT's way of saying to us, the paying public, "Look, we really don't give a sh** about any of you or your problems, although if you corner us, we'll pretend to because that's what we're taught at training. We have an entire seminar in apologizing over the phone, then doing nothing about it. But, we're busy at the moment preparing your next bill, which we'll send out on time and expect full payment for in return and on time, for services that we have not and maybe even can not deliver. Therefore, we've made it as difficult and as inconvenient as possible for you to contact us with your problems. Just pay up and get out of our hair." CAN DO. HELLO DSL?
