Re: those of you worried about Charters internet speeds

Are the MAXX upgrades going to be stopped now that this merger is going to take place? I'm hoping that this is not the case.

I don't see that happening for the areas that have already been announced. They didn't stop during the failed Comcast merger attempt, so there's no reason to expect anything other than business as usual until after the merger is complete, assuming it gets approval. They money is allocated, and they are most likely committed to contracts with vendors.

Both Charter and TWC are better off continuing with upgrades. If the merger is successful, then the upgraded networks are in better shape than they would otherwise be, saving Charter a lot of work down the road. If the merger fails, TWC will have a good network that can support their customers needs.

No.

Nothing will be stopped,

Both companies will continue with Cable TV, Internet, and Phone upgrades. They are going to want their systems in the best shape possible. If the merger is not approved, both companies still come out ahead with updated systems regardless.
