[CustSvc] Remove old modem from accountFor almost a year I have had a sb6141 that I bought (have the retail box and may have receipt somewhere). So a few days ago I bought a sb6183 it activated fine without a phone call. problem is the old one is still showing under my account and 3 calls now and they say they cant remove it. I was told I would have to call when the new owner hooks it up to have it transferred to their account. I don't want to sell it and the buyer cant activate or their activity is associated with my account. Is there a special department I need to speak with? |

[CustSvc] Re: Remove old modem from accountI had the same problem----my old "backup" modem was on the account for two years, in addition to the modem I am using. I finally contacted the Executive Resolution team (We_Can_Help@cable.comcast.com) about the problem. I received a call back within 2 hours and the problem was resolved shortly after that.
Good luck,

Good luck, I asked to have my old modems removed. The only modem they removed was my new SB 6183. It still works, but is no longer on my account page, just the 2 that I asked to be removed are there.. I gave up. |
