FWIW, in this area having comcast in bars is a must. Only place where both comcast sports net and the comcast network is available which carries the local sports teams. Anyway the watering hole i go to has 48 tvs. When i go in i scan the room to see whats on and than i have them tune the tv in front of me to the station i want. Every signal time the tuned station matches whats on other stbs. If what you are claiming is going on it would be picked up real quick in commercial environments. No tivos in bars but its not like comcast can control what tivo does. |

Actually, what he is claiming would be obvious if it were true. Technical arguments aren't even necessary. If it was happening, one (or both) of two things MUST also happen:
1. The program he is watching would be missing the content that was on while the ad was inserted.
2. The program is not missing content, but MUST end later than scheduled, and the next program on the same channel would start later.
He has not reported that #1 is happening, and #2 is ridiculous, as any programming after the channel change would be delayed and off schedule, and this effect would be cumulative on the channels he is claiming this happens on. |
