Comcast XFINITY TV → Re: [Comcast Equip] comcast calling every day to force upgrade

I confirmed tm602g is end of life modem so I guess needs replaced. i'm assuming its as easy as plugging in a new one and since they will have the MAC its just plug and play?

also I looked in the spare room at the cable box and its a Motorola dct 2224

May be a little more then plug and play because most likely if you rent from Comcast you will get a Gateway modem/router combo. In most markets now that's all they hand out it's difficult to find a straight modem or Emta anymore unless you purchase your own. Recommended by the way... Good. luck !
