Buying LG G4 unlocked?

Will this work fine on 4G LTE for ATT?
»www.ebay.com/itm/1915778 ··· 54742403

After doing research, it seems the H815 is what I'd want (as linked), rather than the H815T.

I can't tell if I'd have to pay customs fees.

When I was in Asia a couple months ago and looking at the SG6 phones, they still were a little more expensive than ebay, but less than I could get here. I didn't want to risk buying something that was region locked, or didn't get 4G LTE coverage back home. Nobody seemed to know how to help me in those countries with my questions. I figure ebay is safest bet.

You need LTE bands 2,4,5,17 for ATT right now. The h815 is the right phone. The seller for this phone you linked is in the usa.

the other thing the s6 920 i or f will work fully on ATT. I have the 920i and the wife has the 920F. Also they can be had for only 499 to 510 on ebay.

Bought it and it works fine. I popped my ATT SIM in and was good to go. I thought the SIMs are locked but I guess not. I tried my ATT SIM in a phone in China that was unlocked and it gave me a lock error.

Just odd that it shows the "H" logo for 3G (or is it 4G?) and "4G" instead of the 4G LTE logo. If I go to the phone settings, it shows I'm connected to LTE and I get LTE speeds when doing a speed test.

Also I cannot turn the shutter sound off from the camera unless I have it on vibrate. The click sound always happens if sound is on the phone. Google says to root the phone and delete the sound, but I don't know how to root it.

The APN appears to be set automatically. Do I need to change anything? If I buy a new SIM from another country, do I need to set the APN?

What's the story behind dual SIM phones?

I live in Rochester, NY, but the Canadian towers seem to be overpowering ATT at times if I'm by the water. Canada is far away. Causes signal issues since the phone doesn't know what it should connect to. Never had this issue with my SG4. Never even have this issue in Niagara Falls, NY, with my SG4. You'll see I have no bars, even though if I scroll down, the ATT towers are there.

Dual sim phone originally were aimed at buisness men. The simply allow you to have 2 numbers on 1 phone on 2 diff accounts. They are always unlocked.

H logo is 4g for ATT.... HSPA and HSPA+ are considered 4g by att and tmobile when they really are 3.5g

So H is for ATT's 4G and the 4G logo is for ATT's 4G LTE? The mobile network type that shows up under H is either HSPA or HSPAP.

Today at work, due to the building make-up, I'd always get 4G on my old phone. Now I get H on this new phone, but same amount of bars.

HSPA is just a faster internet than 3g.......Back when it came out they called it 4g, but in reality it's a 3.5g.........LTE is of course far superior to hspa.

It's possible your old phone just called HSPA 4g..............It's been years since I've had att, but I feel like 4g, and LTE are considered different things.

And for the record, you can use any unlocked phone on the GSM carriers. Assuming the internals match up with the frequency the carrier uses. Generally they do. If you notice in the ebay listing, it says check your carrier bands, and then provides the bands the phone uses.

To bad att's rural coverage is so terrible or I would have stayed with them as I had unlimited. But being a truck driver, att was a joke :|.....But I do miss being able to buy any phone I wanted and have it work. Now with sprint they don't allow that quite yet......At least not until everything is LTE, and then there will be no difference between the carriers anymore.
