It does look like Chad logged in today, according to his profile, although I don't see any activity. Might have some PMs to answer. Who knows what Mediacom's doing anymore since they never seem to communicate with their customers very well nor each other! *shrugs*

MediacomChad started as 1 person but he explains in the below thread that multiple people log in and post under the account. Also, this is just one event. I've had 3 lengthy outages in Waterloo this summer and MediacomChad didn't post in any of them. That's not how it used to be. He would post in an outage thread, now it seems outage threads are ignored. Maybe the original Chad is gone?

Well stayed home today due to having a tech visit from 1-5 and tech called at around 2:30 to tell me that he is not coming out because there is nothing he can do. Thanks for wasting my time and money.

Well its not the first time this has happen. Happens several times a month. I hope I get it resolved too. Its only been 7 months that I have been posting this on the other forum. lol the techs even know me by name now. That is why the tech called me and told me that there was nothing he could do and explained why he couldn't do anything. I understood him completely and didn't blame him because he and I know it is not a issue at my house or line to my house. All that information was found during the last tech visit. But hey I have another appointment tomorrow for them not to fix the issue.

I've given up on understanding this company. It's like there's absolutely no communication between areas/regions and the call/social media teams. CSRs don't know there's something going on locally, so let's roll a truck. Tech that's scheduled to visit (sometimes two weeks later) already knows about the problem and can't fix. I've had numerous visits where this has happened. I tend to feel bad for them at times and apologize for having to come out when they knew there was nothing that can be done. The problem is never fixed and once you complain about it, the whole "let's roll another truck" issue comes back, wastes both our and the tech's time, and nothing still ever gets resolved.

agreed!!!! since I get half speed for half day maybe they will cut my bill in half hahaha

Yeah I asked them about that too. getting less than half speed so my internet cost would be half or less. They said they will put a credit on my account. When my bill came I did get a credit of 58¢. I had to laugh.

Well this seems to be fixed. Just a update.

Good thing it got fixed because I almost didnt have any internet this month.

Morning, afternoon, and night. Yes in all prime time hours. All the taps in the neighbor hood had to be changed. Almost all of them had shot capacitor but they were still good enough to get a little bit of signal through. It just wasn't enough to pass good internet signal.
