Google Voice not associating with GVsipI have tried two different Google accounts three different ATA's and posted support tickets to GVsip with no response. The ATA's will register with GVsip but not associate with the Google Voice account.Google Voice will announce "there is an error please disassociate your account and then reassociate the account".No matter what is tried such as MAC address association or OAUTH 2.0 authorization nothing will work. Any other users having this problem? |

Yes, I am experiencing the same issue. When I log in to the portal, there is a banner that states "down for maintenance" but that has been there for a few days now... |

The problem has been resolved. Please let me know if you are still experiencing troubles connecting. Thanks! |

Ryan . I hope you are still monitoring this forum and will advise on the status of GVSIP. The google voice GVSIP connections are not working this morning 8/13/15. They did work for awhile yesterday. I realize this is not a paid service and you could pull the plug on the project at any time. I have no problems with that if that is what you decide to do, but at least let everyone who got involved and established phone service with GVSIP know.
This morning I am getting a dial tone and the calls give the appearance they are goign through, but they just ring and never connect.
There are no updates on the GVSIP forum so all of this leaves me wondering if this was mostly an experiment and has run it's course. No hard feelings, at least not from me but it would be nice to know if I (we) should all move on to other options for VOIP service. I had actually considered dropping my Magic Jack service on my backup phone line when my current service comes up for renewal in a few months.

I have no intentions to pull the plug on GVsip. It should be working fine now, it looks like there was a residual issue that has been fixed and I am continuing to monitor. Unfortunately I have not had time to monitor the forum, sorry about that. Thanks! |

Nope, not working yet. I am now getting the robot voice that I got earlier this week saying "There Is A Problem Connecting To Your Google Voice Account"
Earlier today the phone rang but never connected. |
|
| |
Your account is most likely stuck in authentication mode, remove the Google account and provision a different account to GVSIP. |
|
| |
Actually it must have been something else. I just checked and I am now able to make calls again. But I did nothing on this end to make that happen. Hopefully the glitches are behind us now. |
|
| rcpierce2 |
Well it appears more glitches have appeared. I now get a message to disassociate then re-associate my gvsip account. Just one problem. When I log on to GVSip I get a blank screen. For this to have worked so well for a time this is becoming a bit much , just to make a phone call. |

I've tried most of the day to register a zoiper softphone to GVsip... Keeps timing out, and I get no response when pinging gvsipgateway.com.. Worked fine the other day when I set up the GV to GVsip "connection".... |

I'm getting the robot voice that is saying "There Is A Problem Connecting To Your Google Voice Account". I removed my google account and tried a different account. No luck. |

I'm listening to this voice for more than 24 hours already! Needless to say that nothing happens when I re-associate my account. Are we done? This is a question for Ryan. |

I had this problem for a long time and eventually give up. Very disappointed! |

I just connected my google voice account and HT701 to gvsip tonight, and I am getting that "dissociate/reassoc account" message too.
I thought I didn't config it properly, but it looks like you all are having the same problem.
Call logs show all numbers I tried to dial. But phone calls never connect either in or out.
I wonder if the paid service has this problem too. |

I wonder if the paid service has this problem too. If you mean Bill Simons' one-time-fee GVGW, it is working just fine ... and has been up and running from the get-go! [Past experience shows that Bill closely monitors and gives timely & helpful responses to queries posted on his website: simonetics.com.] |

I think he was talking about GVSIP's paid plan. |

It appears there was an individual account that caused the whole network to crash. The account has been removed and everything is back to normal now, I will continue to monitor. Sorry that happened. |

works now. voice quality is not bad for my first time using sip.
I wonder if another "bad account" would crash the network again? |

It's broken again. Robot voice dissoc/assoc error. |

It's broken again. Robot voice dissoc/assoc error. Not seeing any issues from this end, try removing your google connection and then adding it back. I fixed the code so that future accounts cannot cause a network meltdown. |

I just signed up for a GVsip account. Yesterday I had the robot disassociate/associate message. Today it just rings but the call never goes through to the number I'm calling. I'm looking for an alternative to using an Obihai device as I've had issues with it working (brand new). I'm currently testing using a SIP client on my cellphone. I have a SIP device at home that works fine and I'm hoping to use it. |

I figured out why it was just ringing and not connecting. I didn't select a compatible codec. Once I did that it started working correctly. |

My phone has been ringing for days and not connecting,I've tried everyting disassociating and back, new accounts, changed ports, forward ports, ect, ect.I tried a half a dozen codecs and I notced I'm on the east coast data center now. What happened to the west coast data center? |

Hi. I am experiencing an outage of the gvsip voip service . The calls appear go through but in actuality they just ring with no answer. I called my own home number just to be sure. I went through the disassociate - re-associate routine with my google voice account and it made no difference. While there is no charge for gvsip it still is not a viable voip service since you never know when it will work . So this is more like an experiment or hobby service. Not a service you can depend on. |
