Umm, I am a programmer. :) Been one for 40-years. The issue I have is that the docs skim over stuff and I need t understand the differences and why I should choose which. I wrote many tech manuals in my time, and catering the the least knowledgeable on the topic was always the order of the day. Might have made for slightly boring reading for the the experienced user, but the novice to the product, (aren't we all at sometime) could always understand why something was being done.

Anyway, moot as I am back at the old full image backups once a week. They create in under 20-minutes and Restore in around 30. If it ain't broke... :)

What a disaster. While the daily ones do only capture the differences and are quick, when it comes time to put them back they have to go through what seems like the entire Restore process for each day. I guess they have to find the spots where the differences are then reinstate them. It got to 3-hours after Restoring the Full first day, then day-1 and part way through day-2 with two more days to go and I cancelled.

I went back to a previous full stand alone backup and it was restored in 28 minutes. The Differential/Incremental seems like a good idea, but terrible at Restore time unless I was doing something wrong. Moot anyway, I'll stay with the free version and just do one full back up per week.

Full Day-0, - Day-2, Day-3, Day-4, Day-5, Days-6 etc

OR does that five-days I have set mean that I could only restore back to five days earlier, but it would be a complete restore including those last five days?
