[WIN10] Some websites - regardless of which browser

All of the sudden I can no longer get to www.linkedin.com using Chrome, FF, IE, or Edge. The connection just times out. I can get to it fine on my laptop (Win7) on the same network in any browser. The name resolves to the same IP address on both machines. Trying to ping it from the Win10 desktop (via cmd line) I get only a "General Failure" message from ping.

I'm stumped? Is Windows 10 trying to keep me from getting a job?

Follow-up:
Though I was able to get to it on the Win7 laptop I'm now getting the same thing on it, too. It is still pingable from the laptop, though. Something weird going on with my network I guess.

Guess it was DNS related. I changed the DNS servers to OpenDNS (from Verizon's) and now I get there. Thanks!

EDIT:
I take that back. It's happening again.

It appeared to be an intermittent issue, probably Verizon related...

Probably a corrupted routing table in one of Verizon's routers between your network and the web site.
