I like the idea of cracking down at the terabyte users. As long as it stops there. I know people who do use 100+ gigs a month just on their phone and do not tether. You start targeting these people and that's where I have the problem.

Based on the faqs, they're targeting people who are bypassing the "pcweb.t-mobile.com" APN used for tethering.

I doubt they'll target heavy smartphone users as I sometimes do 100gigs/month (non-tethering).

you can still bypass it without them knowing you just have to mask the packets the laptop is sending a VPN can do this.

It's still fairly obvious. Unless you're using a multipoint VPN solution.
