HughesNet Satellite → SatMex 5 1250 Slow

Has anyone else on 1250 seen a significant slow down over the past 24 to 48 hours? I was getting down load speeds between 800 and 1500 depending on the time of day. I am now down to a max. of 300. I called tech. support and they had me "repower" my modems. That seemed to help a little, but I am still under 300 this morning.

Yes I have had the same thing now for about 48 hours

I just got off the phone with tech support. They are stumped about why I am so slow. The have refered to tech support. What ever that means. They told me to call back id it did not inprove in 24 to 48 hours.

Things are not good with me either and I am on SATMEX 5. Standard reply from Level one techs is every thing is fine here call back in 24 if you are still having a problem. This buys time to get the problem on their end resolved and you off their case.

Mail server is DOWN too and I really hate that...

It is a hopeless feeling not to be able to access the net now that we are used to doing so.

Ain't technology wonderful when it WORKS! LOL

I see that most of you are on 1250. Mine has been getting slow in the evenings for about the last three or four days now. Thought that they might have been overloading to 1070 by now.
Speeds in the morning are still good. But by evening and nighttime they start to get pretty pitiful.

Satmex 5 is really slow on AOL tonight.. check speeds below.

That's pretty much the kinds of speeds that I have been getting in the evenings.
Wonder if it's a problem on their end or they are overloading again?

This is the worst since the 1250 days not long ago.

What is your RSL? Mine has gone from 67 down to 31/33 and then drops out completely.

My signal is bouncing from 50's all the way to losing signal. Browsing is horrible. I thought it might be the wind here. Guess not.

Tonight my signal went from 80 to 31 and mostly a zero reading. weather doesnt seem to be bad here either.

1070 Slow
1070 has been slow here also, I even lot connectivity for a while been down in the low 30s for a few hours normally 51.

Mine was in the 30's also, so were all on the same boat.
Browsing and speeds are good this morning. Hope they stay that way today.

Here it has gone back up to 65. And the speeds are the highest that they have ever been.
Like you I hope that they stay that way. But I kind of doubt it.

Things seem to be a litte better this evening. I am geeting speeds around 800 on 1250. I also noted my signal is sown slightly from 82 to 77 and it is very unsteady. Bouncing between 76 and 80. Weather is clear.

I know Hughes has been commissioning new customers on 1250 know a week or so all new users were put on 1070. They are probably starting to load it down again. Well enjoy your speeds before they go into the toilet like 1070.
