anon posted : Just installed the TG2472 Arris with COX (have the Ultimate internet package) a few days ago. The first day it rebooted itself while we were all on the internet. We called COX and they said they had to send an initial "reset" signal and that's why it did the reboot, however, last night at 10pm it mysteriously rebooted itself once again (3rd time since we've had it). We'll see if it reboots automatically again today - if so - it's going back (frustrating when you're online doing something!!)

I just think if cox is gonna rent this gateway eMTA, why not throw in a battery backup. I wonder in the past, was it required by law for Cox to provide a battery backup?
