Does anyone at Verizon care about this stuff? Anyone with a conscience?I don't live in Verizon territory, so the answer isn't going to change my life at all.
Somewhere along the line, some human at Verizon signed an agreement with the city / county / state to do certain work and provide certain services. That person had a boss, and the boss had a boss, and so on.
Time passes and, basically, Verizon broke its word. Maybe it's money, maybe it's corporate goals, who knows? But the fact is that someone at Verizon made a promise to do something, and the something isn't happening.
Does anyone at Verizon feel bad about this? |

People at the lower level do care about the customers. The techs in the field, and those people right above them do want to provide service and they are tired of seeing so many customers stuck on slow DSL services, or left without any data service.
The problem is at the top level. McAdam gives the order to cut spending on the last mile, middle management enforces, lower management has to comply. |

May on the inside would love to see McAdams frog walked out the front door. They know how this company has been claiming how they could not get access to buildings when VZ was trying to charge them. writing off blocks as un-passable. HOw they have been cutting the work force to the bone - More RIFs coming this month. |
