[Tech] Razer Naga Epic Chroma...

So it was finally time to replace my Razer Naga Epic(2012 wireless version). I had actually soldered in a replacement left mouse button last year when it started double clicking and now the right mouse button, along with a couple side buttons had really gotten soft.

So, wanting to stay wireless, I decided to replace it with the Epic Chroma. Seemed like a logical replacement(nevermind the fact it was on a good sale and I had some BB bucks).

Well, to be honest, I'm am not liking it as much as the original Naga Epic. One of the issues is there are no replacement side adjusters like the old version. I have smaller hands and this thing seems a bit big to me. So I would have liked to size it down a notch. Second, there is an unpressable right edge, next to the right mouse button that seems to get in my way(based on the way I position my hand) when I try to press the right mouse button. The old naga's mouse buttons went from edge to edge. The last thing is, there is no way to replace the battery.

I am thinking of just ordering the old version again from Amazon. I see all these great reviews but I kinda think the old one was better in many ways.

Anyone else jump from the old Naga Epic to the Chroma?

SO as a follow up, I ordered the previous Naga Epic from Amazon and am going with that. The Chroma is just a bit too big for my hand sit well. I consistently had to adjust my hand positioning to make sure I was on the right buttons. With old version being smaller(and adjustable), my hand sat perfectly with the button set up.

Plus I HATE the fact the Chroma doesn't allow you to switch batteries. I already have an extra battery for the original Naga Epic already(I actually have a 3rd as well if I need it, since my old Mamba's battery fits the Naga Epic), which I keep charged. If one dies on me, it takes a few seconds to the battery and away I go.
