Hey, it's testing a "new product experience" in the US. What's not to like? |

So is there a workaround/stealth ad blocker (yet)?
(I wasn't clear about ABP's new "rules" and whether or not that IS, in fact, the fix/workaround.) |

Just out of curiosity - do those of you who have seen the block use any other Yahoo services? Flickr and Groups come to mind.
I do have a workaround. Install another browser like Slimjet and use that only for Yahoo. Close it when done and have it set to ask in a firewall. ( I use Online Armor)
I mostly use Pale Moon, but I have two sites that use SRW Iron. I wouldn't mind adding another browser to the mix. I enjoy spite. |

I don't use Flickr, and I really don't use Groups either -- at least not presently. And definitely not Messenger.
Hey thanks for the Slimjet recommendation. It's FAST! And it removed Yahoo's annoying ads but didn't lock me out! I'm a new big fan of Slimjet!!! |

By the time it expires, that type of firewall will be moot. 7 will join XP OFFLINE ONLY and I'll be using Mint to surf the web. I do have SrW Iron and Pale Moon on Mint. They both have Linux tarballs. |

Dragon isn't available for Linux so why bother?
Since I like Ferrets, Ice Weasel is still around. |

I've really gotten used to the tab feature in Yahoo. I've yet to find another webmail client that uses the tab feature (although if I'm not mistaken Thunderbird does have tabbed emails as well). So running it with Slimjet works well for me -- no ads, fast, no need to create a new email addy. |
