Yeah and I take exception to that as a qualifier My mom is elderly and can't get this plan, I have no kids, so I get no benefits. My school taxes pay for a school that never gets used by my kids.

I'm not trying to be obstinate here, but I think the probability is pretty good that you received your education subsidized by others.

Sure, you could have attended private school. But even then, I suspect the organization providing the school received generous donations and stipends from other sources.

Upshot here is, we all get a society with some minimal level of education. Yeah, I know, that bar is pretty low these days!
